Degenerative Disc Disease
Degenerative disc disease occurs when our intervertebral discs, which serve as shock absorbers for the spine, gradually dry out as we age, losing strength and resiliency. Mild degenerative disc disease is relatively common, and treatment and pain relief may not require surgery.
Treatment of more severe degenerative disc disease may include less invasive surgical techniques performed by Dr. Darryl Antonacci.
